Institutions
In addition to the Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS) the TIB – Leibniz-Informationszentrum Technik und Naturwissenschaften is involved in the project as a joint partner.
Within the framework of TextTransfer II, the project partner IDS is concentrating on the development of a criteria inventory of exploitation-relevant contexts, the preparation and editing of data for the machine learning procedure, and the adaptation for the newly added source types and domains of the software solution developed in TextTransfer I, and is working out an implementation and communication concept.
Together with the project partner TIB, IDS is working on the technical and legal framework that supports the use of the method. TIB's task is also to provide a tailored corpus of research reports as a sample per domain, to extract this data, which is available in PDF format, and to convert it into the target format TXT using an automated process.
The partners are supported by the subcontractors Görgen & Köller GmbH (G & K) and the working group of Prof. Dr. Jana Diesner of the iSchool at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
